Large, impressive 1970 Panama silver 5 Balboas commemorative coin issued for the XI Central American and Caribbean Games held in Panama. Features a dynamic discus thrower on the obverse and the national coat of arms on the reverse. Over one full ounce of silver with strong presence.

Obverse: Muscular athlete throwing the discus with Olympic rings above and legend “XI JUEGOS CENTRO Y DEL CARIBE PANAMA 1970”.

Reverse: National arms of Panama with eagle, “REPUBLICA DE PANAMA” and “5 BALBOAS” below, “LEY 0.925” on the edge.
