Classic 1887 Mexican silver 8 Reales from the Guanajuato mint. Features the iconic Cap of Liberty with rays on the obverse and the national eagle on the reverse. Cleaned but retains excellent details and presents very nicely in hand.
Obverse: Radiant Cap of Liberty with “LIBERTAD” banner, surrounded by rays, flanked by “8 R. G° 1887 R.R. 10 D. 20 G.”
Reverse: Mexican eagle perched on cactus devouring a serpent, “REPUBLICA MEXICANA” above and oak/laurel wreath below.
