Crowned double-headed imperial eagle with composite arms on the breast, sword and scepter in the talons. Legend: ARCHID·AUST·DUX·BUR·COM·TYROL with date 1737.

Struck at the important Hall mint in Tyrol during the reign of Charles VI (1711–1740), Holy Roman Emperor and father of Maria Theresa. These large silver thalers from Hall are popular among collectors of Habsburg and Austrian coinage for their bold design and solid silver content. The 1737 date falls toward the end of the series (struck 1730–1738).

Excellent example of this large Thaler - Incredible preservation for something closing in on 290 years old!
