1727 Russia Peter II Silver Rouble Moscow Type KM-182.1:

The 1727 silver rouble of Peter II was struck at the Krasny (Red) Mint in Moscow during the brief reign of the young emperor (1727–1730), grandson of Peter the Great, who ascended the throne at roughly age 11–12 and died at 14. This is the Moscow-type issue with lettered edge. The obverse shows the laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the youthful ruler facing right, with long, elaborately curled hair. The reverse features a cruciform monogram formed by four crowned Cyrillic letters “П,” with the Roman numeral “II” in each angle, the date split as 17 27 in the center, and the surrounding legend МОНЕТА НОВАЯ ЦЕНА РУБЛЬ. Struck in approximately .728–.729 fine silver, the standard weight is 28.44 grams with an actual silver weight of 0.6666 troy ounces and a diameter of roughly 40–41 mm. It is catalogued as KM-182.1 and Davenport 1667.

Peter II roubles of this early type offer an accessible entry into 18th-century Imperial Russian crown-sized silver.
