Historical Note:

Pope Gregory XVI (reigned 1831–1846) was the last non-Italian pope until the 21st century and a staunch traditionalist who opposed liberal reforms and the Risorgimento movement. His papacy occurred during a turbulent period for the Papal States as revolutionary ideas swept Europe. These large silver scudi are prized by collectors for their papal portraiture and connection to 19th-century Vatican history.

Priced competitively for the grade and eye appeal—strong value in the current market for high-grade Papal silver. You can always reach out to me if you’d like to make an offer on anyone coin I list though. Always happy to listen to reasonable offers
